CiteULike is a type of social networking. It was created in 2004 and is maintained by Richard cameron, at the University of Manchester. This is the clear example of expandation of knowledge through the collaboration of different users. CiteULike helps exchange scientific references, instead of links or favourites, that are shown as own but visible for everyone. It works as a tag system that are connected to the data base selected by the user. Exchaging references between users there is the possibility of creating a group that share the same interests.
Its a free webpage that helps academics with their research, organization, document reading,etc.It´s a system that catalogues books, helping users create their own list of pages that they find interesting. Moreover, this webpage helps to share a list of users with other people or even find pople that are interested in the same themes or topics.
