The importance of the woman in the society

febrero 4th, 2014 · No hay Comentarios

The role of the women nowadays is very important becuase somehow all the society needs to now how is the role of the women through the different cultures in the world and as Leanne Evale has mentioned that: “Throughout the last 100-300 years the changes that women have seen and been affected by have been phenomenal.  Women have gained a lot of ground in politics, the work force, and  even more power within their own households.  There was a time in history when women were unable to voice their opinion in politics being unable to cast a vote or run for office, and now in modern time there are more than one woman running in the presidential campaign.  Now women and men can both be the bread winners, the stereotypical role place on women is slowly dissolving and both spouse parents are sharing the responsibilities that come with the house and family.”

Ever since we can imagine the women somehow has been under the control of the men due to different circunstances. Firtly, at the Arabic countries the women is under control of their superior such as: father, brother, husband. This happen due the religion, the islam. Moreover, this phenomenom is happening due to the culture which they have, in which the women must do all the housechores, taking care of the children, be the housekeeper. Besides, in this countries in has been for the entire arabic history

However, in the industrialized countries, the women over the years has improve the role in the society since the XXth century, when they start voting in the elections, they start working, started studying a degree. Over since, they started to have more and more importance ever since. However, somehow, in todays’ society there are still some differences between men and women such as: in the salary when both are working. But somehow  this is strating to change in some work post such as: medicine, high posts in the enterprises, etc.

In conclusions as Catherine Rampell has claimed “In recessions, the percentage of families supported by women tends to rise slightly, and it is expected to do so when this year’s numbers are tallied. As of November, women held 49.1 percent of the nation’s jobs, according to nonfarm payroll data collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. By another measure, including farm workers and the self-employed, women constituted 47.1 percent of the work force.”
