From the aforementioned topics, the semantic web deserves, from my point of view, a further explanation and this article deals with it.
The semantic web is an extension derived from the World Wide Web, that allows the web to understand as well as to meet the needs of people and machines to use the web content. As a consequence, it involves, among others, a set of design principles, collaborative working groups and a wide range of enabling technologies.
As time has passed by, the semantic web has been described in different ways, such as “an utopic vision”, “a web of data”, or as “a natural paradigm shift”. Besides, so great has been its development that it has helped creating different tools, like “Wikidsmart”, which enables intelligent integration with other tools and applications.
