Kevin Kelly was born in Pennsylvania  in 1952;  he’s now 56 and lives in Pacifica, in California. He studied at the Westfield High School, in Westfield, New Jersey. He’s the author of the speech NEXT 5000 DAYS OF THE WEB, where he predicts how the web is going to affect us and the dependence we’re going to have on it.

He is kind of a writer: he’s interested in the internet and in the web, and his writings have appeared in the New York Times, Esquire, The Economist and other periodicals . He has also written some famous books, such as ‘Out of Control‘ which talks about new machines we’re used to working with and some social sistems, apart from referring to economy along the whole book (1994). ‘New Rules for the New Economy’ is another book written by Kelly, where he gives some strategies so as to reach a connected world (1999).

Kelly has worked, apart from writing, as a freelance photographer for some journals, and in 1981 he founded his own, called Walking Journal. Apart from that he has been the executive director of some magazines, as Wired Magazine.
