Do you enjoy reading heart-melting love stories? Would you like to share your opinion towards romantic literature and authors? Joining The Romantic Novelists’ Association could be a good option.
As it is explained in the oficial web page of the The Romantic Novelists’ Association (click here), the association was formed in 1960 to promote romantic fiction and encourage good writing. Nowadays, represents more tan 700 writers, agents and editors. The basic idea of this association is to make clear what a romantic novel is.

RNA organizes many activities related to literature during the whole year, but the last three years there have been two which have been very important; The Romantic Novel of the Year 2013, which according to the RNA recognises the very highest standarts of romantic fiction, and Celebrating 50 years of romance.
The Romantic Novel of the Year 2013 awarded to Jenny Colgan for her book entitled Welcome to Rosie Hopkins´Sweetshop of Dreams. The work that the judges did was really hard, due to the exceptional high standard of the narrations. The judges were divided between Jenny´s book and another one: ” We debated the finer points of each novel over an hour but in the end Jenny won by a nose, thanks to her impeccable plotting and structure.” explains the judge. 
As RNA explains Jenny drew her inspiration from her love for old James Herriot books and wrote Welcome to Rosie Hopkins’ Sweetshop of Dreams in tribute of the sweetshops of her childhood.
