Hans Uszkoreit teaches Computational Linguistics at the university of Saarland at Saarbrücken. He created the Department of Computational Linguistics in 1988. In 1989 he became the head of Language Technology Lab at DFKI. He was the co-creator of “The European Postgraduate Program Language Technology and Cognitive Systems”, and participated in the Ph.D. program at the Unibersity of Edimburgh.

HE is now a researcher of somputer models for natural language production and understanding, advanced applications od language and knowledge technologies such as translingual technologies or semantic an syntax of natural language among others.
