From: http://www.thefreedictionary.com.  Definition 2: “Human Language Technologies (HLT) is a relatively new term that embraces a wide range of areas of research and development in the sphere of what used to be called Language Technologies or Language Engineering. The aim of this module is to familiarise the student with key areas of HLT, including a range of Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. NLP is a general term used to describe the use of computers to process information expressed in natural (i.e. human) languages.
