Networks, groups or pages?

Facebook offers different kind of applications to make famous your company, play with your friends, search organizations. These applications are very useful to us. There are three type of application to these purpose: networks, groups and pages. Now, we are going to explain the differents between these applications.

Networks: It is a way to search quickly your friends in the high school, university, job or your family if you want. When you enter in facebook you must choose you school in the network list. Types of networks:

1) Regional network: Limited all the user of facebook to a unique regional network  and you can only change it twice per 60 days in your account. The goal is protect the user´s privacy. Example: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=30324257710

2) Job network: If the company where you work doesn´t give you official e-mail adress, you won´t have a network related with your job.

3) University network: You must have a valid e-mail account of one of the schools which exist in Facebook. To accept students, it will be necessary the e-mail account of ex-alumnus in the school. Groups: it is a place where different people arround the world share her likes and dislikes. They use and space to share photograps, comments, information… Example: http://www.facebook.com/simpson.latino, http://www.facebook.com/TheBigBangTheory

Pages: The pages are created for specific purposes and unlike the groups do not contain discussion forums, as they are directed towards specific brands or characters and not to any type of call. Example: http://www.facebook.com/bershka, http://www.facebook.com/ILOVEBILBAO?ref=ts&v=wall#!/pages/Ayuntamiento-de-Bilbao/100957829946195

Some experts also explain their opinion about the topic. “Pat Kinsel reveal that, by introducing support for the Facebook groups Docs.com, the software giant moves in terms of social productivity.”
