Stephanie Meyer is one of the most famous young-adult novel writers nowadays. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1973.In 1994 she graduated in English Literature.

Ten years later, the main idea of Twilight came up through a dream. The story is about a girl called Isabella, who had just moved from Phoenix to Forks (Washington) and put her life in danger falling in love with Edward, who is a vampire.

Their story is told in 4 books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, translated into 20 languages. This fact tells us the big success of the series, recognized by many institutions such as The American Library Association with the award of “Best book of the year (2005)” and Publishers Weekly, who said Twilight was the best book of the decade, so far. She has also obtain very important prizes from The New York Times: Editor’s Choice and 5th place in best-sellers in their list. But the real achievement is that she , as J.K. Rowling did, has got teenagers and not-teenagers all over the world interested in lecture.
